Since playing the MW2 remastered campaign, my opinion of the game has changed slightly.

Prior to playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, I held MW2 as one of the worst Call of Duties ever made rivaling even Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Instead of destroying yet another game, I put the game back in its case, walked over to my neighbor’s house, and put the game in the mailbox. Not long after playing the anger returned and I had the urge to break it. The final copy of Modern Warfare 2 that I played was a copy borrowed from a friend a few weeks later. Because of these two annoying builds, I became so enraged that I snapped the disc in half. Instead, I came back to Akimbo weapons paired with riot shields and explosive weapons with Danger Close and One Man Army. I had hoped that a few months away from the multiplayer would have reinvigorated me and any balancing issues would probably be fixed. Following FrustrationĪ few months later, I was asked to buy the game again and fell in love with Spec Ops and played the first few chapters of the campaign. This was just the first copy that I disposed of. The first copy was given to me as a Christmas present but I ended up selling it after becoming frustrated with the multiplayer. In fact, it was the Call of Duty that I got rid of the most. On March 31st, 2020, not even a month after Warzone dropped, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was released on PlayStation 4 as a timed exclusive.įull disclosure, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was my least favorite installment in the original Modern Warfare trilogy. What shocked the world the most was the leak of a remastered campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

On March 20th, 2020, Activision announced that Warzone had surpassed 30 million downloads. Then on March 10th, 2020, Activision released a free-to-play multiplayer experience called Call of Duty: Warzone. At the end of October, Activision and Infinity Ward released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Over the last six months, the Call of Duty franchise has been on a release streak.
